IT WILL BE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A NO PARKING SIGN AND IT SAYS THIS IS A STUB STREET INTENDED FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT.

SO THAT MEANS IF WE WERE CITED IN A CODE IN AN ETHIC'S VIOLATION WE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE OUR OWN REPRESENTATION.

THIS WAS CHANGED A FEW YEARS AGO.

THERE WERE SOME THINGS ADDED AND IF YOU GO BACK AND READ THE CODE YOU CAN SEE THAT. EVEN IF THE CITY COUNCIL WHEN THEY APPROVED THIS DID NOT ANTICIPATE THE FILING OF A SWORN CODE ETHIC'S COMPLAINT THERE HADN'T BEEN ONE SO THEY DIDN'T ANTICIPATE IT. BUT AS A CITY EMPLOYEE AND AS A COUNCILMAN HAVING AN ETHIC'S COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST THEM CLEARLY ARISES FROM SOMETHING THE CITY COUNCIL OR THE DEPARTMENT HEADED THEN THEY WOULD HAVE TO FURNISH ISSUE THEIR OWN ATTORNEY AND GO TO COURT WHICH COULD BE EXPENSIVE.

SO THAT BEING SAID I HAVE ASKED MR. GOODSON TO COME UP WITH AN ORDINANCE THAT WOULD ADDRESS THIS AND WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE DONE IS TO TAKE OUT AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE OUT OF THE ORDINANCE AND PUT IN THERE THAT THE CITY COUNCIL AND MAYOR APPROVED PAYMENT OR REOF I'M BURRSMENT OF AN ATTORNEY FEE.

AND INSERT THE WORD MAY BECAUSE THAT LANGUAGE WILL GIVE THE CITY COUNCIL THE OPTION TO EITHER PAYER REIMBURSE THE ATTORNEY'S FEES. IT WOULD HAVE TO COME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND MAKE A DECISION AT THAT POINT BUT AT LEAST WE WOULD HAVE A CHANCE TO HAVE THOSE FEES PAID.

AND SO THE BUILDERS STOP BUILDING UNTIL PRICES GET IN LINE WHAT DOES THAT DO TO OUR ALREADY LOW INVENTORY. AND SO YOU'RE JUST GOING TO KEEP HAVING THESE BIDDING WARS TO WHERE THOSE UNDER $200,000 IS GOING TO STRUGGLE. THERE'S NOT A BIG STRUGGLE FOR THOSE IN THE $300,000 TO $400,000 RANGE BUT IT'S FOR THOSE JUST STARTING OUT THOSE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE BEING IMPACTED.
